refuse動(dòng)詞，意為“拒絕，謝絕，推辭”。其后接動(dòng)詞不定式，即refuse to do sth.，意為“拒絕做某事”。
e.g.:They refused to let me go.
2.Hou Yi was so sad that he called out her name to the moon every
night.后羿悲痛不已，以至于每晚都對(duì)著月亮大聲呼喊她的名字。
call out one's name意為“大聲呼喊某人的名字”。
e.g.: I called out his name but he turned a deaf ear to my calling.
3.He quickly laid out her favorite fruits and desserts in the garden.他 飛快地在花園里擺出她最喜歡的水果和點(diǎn)心。
lay out意為“擺開(kāi)；布置”。lay在此處用作及物動(dòng)詞，意為“放置；安放”。其過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞均為laid;現(xiàn)在分詞為laying。
